Hi, my name is Adams Davenport. I am a Petroleum Engineering Major from Midland, Texas. One of my favorite intellectual pastimes is reading a nonfiction paperback book outside at my ranch with no distractions from electronics. In contrast to reading without distraction, listening to classical music while studying is also one of my favorite intellectual pastimes. I have grown up hearing that listening to classical music stimulates the brain and allows an individual to retain information to a greater extent. Now, I can only successfully study while listening to classical music. I wonder does classical music really stimulate the brain or is that just what I have grown to believe due to repetition?
