2:Do authors or magazines seem more important here?
There are very few authors that are centers of major clusters because of limited amounts of work. Magazines however were able to publish much more content across many authors.Magazines hold more importance here.
3:What magazines or authors are least connected?
The Weekly Tale teller, Dunlop. These were most likely independent sources that had less importance to the major publications.
4:Does this show anything unexpected?
The graph illustrates how self-contained each magazines is. With few exceptions, the authors each magazine published were not also published by other periodicals. This is something only seen on the macro scale; we would not have realized having only read the magazine. For instance, Poetry Magazine and Scribners, two very popular magazines in their time, are only connected by two edges. If one magazine is connected to another, it is usually only by one – five edges. This demonstrates the diversity of both readership and content each periodical had. We would have expected popular authors would have been in multiple magazines on many different articles.
