Lab: Word Searches in The New Freewoman

Group Members: Nathan Augsburger, Vivek Venkataraman, Andrew Warfield

  1. We chose to search the word revolution due to the nature of the pieces found within the New Freewoman.
  2. Views and Comments (Vol. 1, No. 12, December 1st, 1913), On Intereference with the Environment by Steven T. Byington (Essay, Vol. 1, No. 7, September 15th, 1913), Some Opinions on The Freewoman by Havelock Ellis (Vol. 1, No. 2, July 1st, 1913)
  3. The word was used pretty similarly compared to how it was used in issue one mostly in that it was being used to express a needed change in the way people think such as how it was used in the Views and Comments in Vol. 1 No. 12.
  4. We mostly found what we expected in terms of how the word was used.
